Before I renovated my kitchen, I wasn’t much of a cook or baker. TBH I only ventured in the kitchen to get water or to use the microwave.
But after I did, you couldn’t get me out of there! One of the key things to enjoying cooking and baking is knowing your space. Since I designed my kitchen, I know every inch of it.
This is one of the versions of kitchen layouts I made (unfortunately I can no longer find the final version).
From the picture above, it’s obvious that I have absolutely no interior design background, or even a grasp of basic shapes (haha). One of the greatest advice I got was to mark the floor with tape so I can envision how to move in the kitchen. I also asked my foreman bazillions of questions about standard widths, lengths, sizes, materials, etc.
