PUTTING UP DECORATIONS
This part of party preparation can be exhausting and sometimes costly. If you are the type of parent who would like to prepare things yourself and you think you can do it, do not hesitate to put up themed decorations to your party.
Make the decorations simple but attractive. Remember that you are planning a party for young children and you do not want it to look like you are having a wedding.
Decide on color scheme and materials you want to be used for the decorations. You can also add some touch of the theme to your food table.
PARTY GIVE-AWAYS AND LOOT BAGS
(Star Wars Party Favors: filled with art materials inside, crayons, paint and paint brushes, etc)
You do not want to give the kids things that will just go to waste. Try giving things that are educational and useful.
Books are always good to go in the party bag. Useful things like water bottles and snack bags are also nice party favors. Art materials are also great give-aways.
You want your party bag to look nice and always go with the theme, thus packaging usuallyt matters. Just be a little creative and you will discover that this doesn’t cost much and your guests will appreciate the effort you have given in preparing for the give-aways. A nice “thank you note” will complete your party bag.
If guests do rsvp, it is best to personalize and label each party bag. This will help you monitor if each guest will be going home with a bag. But remember to have extra party bags so you are prepared for siblings and some unexpected guests.
Try not to overspend for the party favors. Keep a ceiling price for the items you will be putting in the bag. Remember that you will be multiplying that price to the number of kids going to the party and you do not want the amount to surprise you.
